North Carolina just held its annual “sales-tax free weekend” to assist families in getting their children ready to head back to school. With tax exemptions on clothing, supplies and computers, the lines were long and the shopping was fierce at our local retailers (just ask my wife). As we talked about what our oldest daughter needed for starting second grade in late August, I thought some about what the “back to school” list might look like for technology departments. |

As another school year comes to a close, I get motivated to catch up on all the great books that I have stacked up on my desk or heard about from colleagues during the year. Not unlike my other lists (things to do, steps to getting in shape, etc.), the book list gets pushed aside during the school year as deadlines and work debris piles up. In hopes that committing my list to the outside world might shame me into reading, here are a few titles I hope to devour soon. |
