On Monday, September 28th, the Dow Jones industrial average fell 778 points, an unprecedented drop for a single day in the Stock Market. In the wake of this disturbing, still unfolding national crisis, an argument could be made that financial literacy --- in all its practical aspects --- is as crucial to the lives of our students as the core curriculum subjects traditionally taught.
