Kindergarten teachers and first teachers complain about the lack of language skills of entering students. Without a strong language vocabulary, students suffer comprehension issues in elementary, middle and high school. Millions of dollars are spent on educational services to help students who lack language skills develop the skills. Two researchers, Hart and Risley, have come up with a simple solution to this critical problem.
