How much does HotChalk cost?
HotChalk’s online tools and community content are free. Premium content like NBC News video and McGraw-Hill Education’s professional development courses require a paid subscription after a free trial.
What subjects does HotChalk cover?
HotChalk covers all preK-12 subjects, including Math, Science, Music, Language Arts, Computers & Internet, Social Studies, Art and Physical Education.
I’m a teacher. Is there a forum where I can speak with other teachers?
Yes, visit the HotChalk’s MyCommunity. It’s a dedicated area within the HotChalk Learning Environment that lets teachers speak to each other about their lessons, challenges and solutions via various forums and educational blogs.
Does a school have to be signed up in order to use HotChalk?
No. Teachers, students and parents can use HotChalk for free even if their school is not listed in HotChalk.
Can parents monitor their child’s progress?
Yes. HotChalk gets parents more involved in a child’s education. Parents just need to register and enter the student’s code for safe and immediate access to his/her academic progress.
